In this episode, Hosts, Erica Simpson and Regina Weathersby, speak with special guest, Breah Tucker Grant, about her diagnosis of preeclampsia & HELLP and her survival journey. Statistics state that 85% of women diagnosed with HELLP syndrome do not survive.

This special Father’s Day episode is dedicated to our own fathers and husbands.  Mr. Ralph Sims and Mr. Antonio Law, two community leaders, will join us as we center our conversation around Black Paternal Health, healing and advocacy.  The episode is a celebration of Black fatherhood, a call to prioritize Black men’s health and the contribution that our Black men make to our community.

 In this episode, we turn our attention to the history of Black maternal health. While Juneteenth marks the end of slavery in the United States, the efforts for liberation, especially in the realm of healthcare, is ongoing. Join us as we discuss the historical roots related to the ongoing maternal health crisis facing Black women. Happy Juneteenth!

Iris opens up about navigating mental health challenges while managing the demands of everyday life, and how she intentionally models healthy self-care for her daughters.
