I am Erica Simpson, the founder of The Blue Rose Foundation. I became a mother via IVF shortly after my 40th birthday after struggling with infertility for years. Infertility, being just one diagnosis, affected every part of my life. Every aspect of this journey seemed to be an uphill battle, even down to the delivery. Isolation, fear, and shame were some of the many feelings of my journey. Overcome with the heaviness of the infertile diagnosis, many times I was unable to even articulate my needs, physically and mentally. Despite the thorns of my journey, a vision and a Rose, Marli Rose (my baby girl) was born.

I am Regina Weathersby, founder of the Blue Rose Foundation. During my first pregnancy, I gave birth at 21 weeks to a set of twins, David Jr. (DJ) and Madison. Both of my babies spent time in the NICU during their short hospital stay. During their short time on earth, they taught us so much about faith, love, and strength. The next year

Both of my babies spent time in the NICU during their short hospital stay. During their short time on earth, they taught us so much about faith, love, and strength. The next year I gave birth via C-section to a kept promise, our daughter Nadia. Less than 18 months later, the joy of our world, our second daughter, Avery was born. A few years after Avery’s birth, I experienced a miscarriage early in pregnancy. Though this journey into motherhood can be more of a winding road, with many twists and turns, I am positive that it was the support system that surrounded me that made all the difference.
